Breney Common, Cornwall - 29th September 2019

On a wind swept and showery day a few colleagues joined with me in deciding that due to the lower elevation of the trees at this location there was less of a chance of a tree deciding that today was to be there last. So the visit didn't disappoint, as many good species were found. This included a walk around the northern section and woodland not often visited. Here are some of the more interesting species I found during our visit.

Cortinarius caerulescens or Mealy Bigfoot

Cortinarius caerulescens

Poss. Cortinarius subbalaustinus

Hygrocybe miniata or Vermillion Waxcap

Hygrocybe reidi or Honey Waxcap

double gill/cap growth

Laccaria amethystina or Amethyst Deceiver

Russula gracillima or Slender Brittlegill

Tremella foliacea or Leafy Brain
